CCS install error on Windows 7 based PC

Following picture shows an error message window.

What should I do to install without this message window?

    Hi Ahnsei,

    are you trying with the current release, v5.4?  Would it be possible for you to

    1 - please send us the install logs.  these are in the installjammer registry directory.  the folder may be hidden and is under program files or program files(x86).

    2 - try again with the full v5.4 installer and antivirus disabled to a fresh directory with no special characters

    once again ... please try with the latest version.  Log instructions are also here for you:

    1 - please send us the install logs.  these are in the installjammer registry directory.  the folder may be hidden and is under program files or program files(x86).

    2 - try again with the full v5.4 installer and antivirus disabled to a fresh directory with no special characters

    I just want to use our own purchased CD.

    Printed words on the purchased CD shows Windows, XP, VISTA, 7

    Is there any specific reason for using the latest version not my version?

    Hi Ahnsei,

    there are two reasons to use the newest version

    1 - latest bug fixes and support.  support is more limited for older versions

    2 - there is a known issue installing from cds anyhow

    Thanks for your advice.

    1. I cannot get another version.

    2. As you(TI) wrote the word(Window7) on CD that I purchased, I think you shold guarantee the operation of the CCS on window 7 based PC with my CD.

    Put yourself in my shoes, even I purchased the CD insisting it can run on window7, why should I have to put more effort?

    You give me advice whenever I raise an issue, but the advice is hard to me to do and it is abstract.

    I think, you need to give advice with more details.

    Hi Ahnsei,

    yes, unfortunately the cds are thought to be a service, however as you see there are numerous issues.  By the time of shipment they are out of date and the issues I mentioned we found with the installer.

    I would do the following

     1 - clear out any old installations.  Do this manually by deleting the ccsv5 directory (or ccsv4).  Also delete the logs from the installjammer registry directory.  This is a potentially hidden folder in program files or program files (x86).

    2 - download the latest version from this site.  Not the large button but a bit further down to ensure you have the offline installer

    3 - fully unzip and install v5.4 to a fresh simple directory with antivirus disabled.

    If you have any issues send us the logs from the installjammer registry directory mentioned in step 1.
