ccs_setup_5.4.0.00091.exe installation problems

CCS gurus,

I tried installing ccs_setup_5.4.0.00091.exe on windows 7 and ended up having some problem during installation. I have taken a snapshot of the message windows pop up showing the error. Please look into it and let me know how to proceed.

Hi Manoj,

could you please send us the installation logs. These would be as located as indicated in your message under the installjammer registry directory. Note the directory may be hidden and is under program files or program files (x86).

I get this error when i execute ccstudio.exe in C:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse

can you expand on what exactly you tried? I ask because you log actually shows a sucessful installation.

Got this issue resolved by doing the below step:-

2. Clearing out existing installation: For failure during installation (CCS installer fails to complete), try removing all files under the InstallJammer registry folder for CCSv5 before retrying the installation. The path to the folder is typically:

32-bit Operating Systems: C:\Program Files\InstallJammer Registry\ccsv5

64-bit Operating Systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallJammer Registry\ccsv5

Try deleting the entire 'ccsv5' folder. Keep in mind this will erase the install information of other CCSv5 versions you may have installed in parallel. If in doubt, check the date and time of each directory and delete the one that matches your attempt of install.
