Code Composer Studio v5.4 Setup / Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable

G'day Guys,

I have a problem, I would like to install CCSv5.4 but everytime at the beginning of the installation it appears a window of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. In this window i should write the source of "vcredist.msi" but if i do this it will not install Microsoft Visual C++, however i looked in Systemcontrol/Software and i have already Mircosoft Visual C++ 2005, 2008 and 2012 istalled. I closed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and the installation continues.

If i start ccs5.4 after the installation i have a 2 warning message under the subwindow "Description":

1. "Build variable 'XDAIS_CG_ROOT' cannot be resolved"

2. "Invalid project path: Include path not found (\package\ti\xdais)"

I have the same stuff with CCS5.3....

My system: Windows XP SP3, AMD64 Dual 2,5GHz, 3GB RAM

cheers

Pascal

  • Hello!

1 & 2 warnings are associated. You need to correct the path "\package\ti\xdais". At this case usually I point out the path explicitly in Include options. For example:

    E:\ti\xdais_7_21_01_07\packages\ti\xdais\

    This resolves issue for me.

BTW  I have Mircosoft Visual C++ 2005 & XPSP3 and I had not any problems after installing CCS.

    Regards,

    Igor

  • Hi Pascal,

can I ask for a bit of clarification.  Is my understanding correct that these are launch errors you are getting?   Did you have any issues during installation and are you able to use ccs?  (ie is it the correct understanding this error is not blocking you?)

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • HI Pascal,
