Hi E2E. I'm trying to install CCS from the offline zip file. The version is 5.4. It was unable to complete.

Here is the log of the error. Please help me.

could you please send us the installation logs? These are in the installjammer registry directory. The folder may be hidden and is under program files or program files(x86).

Hi Lisa, could you tell me the exact file name of the log file. I have no idea where to find it.

There's only one log file that I found in the ti\ccsv5\install_logs, and that the file I showed you.

Hi Dat,

I see a two things that stick out

1 - I see a F, G and Z drive involved in your installation. This is not a good sign, especially since the installer doesn't handle mapped/cd/virtual/shared drives well.

2 - you user name has a space, also something our installer does not handle well.

Given the above two, would it be possible for you to remove the attempted installation (inlcuding the installation logs) and try again with a simple user account (no special characters) and fully unzipping and installing to a local folder (eg c:/ti or c:/myccs)

It's even worse. The installation stalled very soon.

Is there any problem if I install CCS on another pc and the copy the installation to my pc ? If yes, what should I do to make it work properly ?

Hi Tan,

hmm It might be worth a try but I can't guarantee it would work.

If you do try it, I would copy the ccsv5 folder over. In that folder there should be an eclipse folder. The eclipse folder contains ccstudio.exe which you can use to try launching ccs.

Sadly, It didn't work. Hope that TI will soon improve the installer of CCS. I can see that many people had problem with it.

Hi Tan,

I am not sure what to say. I understand it might not be easy for you to access another user account. We are working on the installer with high priority and so when v5.5 or v6 comes out hopefully we will see mostly first time successful installations.
