"Waiting for user input in Console" in Debug view

Does your code have some stdin function?

No, the code does not wait for input from console. It does have a TCP/IP function, but this is over ethernet, of course.

When you halt the target, where does it halt (what piece of code)?

FYI - I;m going to split this issue to a new thread. We prefer to have separate threads for different issues.

Can you be more specific with that question? I'm in a Release build, so I can't see the actual line it halts on. 

I know I'm stuck in a function does some signal processing using OpenMP.

I built a Debug version of this and I cannot see much when I halt the program. See the attached capture.

Is it possible to find out more about the meaning or cause for the "Waiting for user input in Console" message? I can't find other messages in this forum.

Here's a little more about where the code halts. Let me know if this makes much sense.

1) Load and it automatically runs to main

2) Run

3) Runs and shows the message "Running - Waiting for user input in Console"

4) click in the Console window and hit Return, see the status of the core changes to "Running"

5) Pause, and the core shows "pthread_mutex_lock(void **)() 0x0C09E200 (pthread_mutex_lcok has only skeletal debug info)

* The program seems to be halted at the OpenMP fork.

I see. It doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain why the runtime behavior is different between two PCs? I am running the exact same .out file.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling code composer and all the other packages in different orders and configurations multiple times but I still have this problem when running.

Do the two PC's have identical versions of CCS (including any updates)?

The issue isn't with your executable - it's with your emulator.  

You have your emulator configured for Console IO.

CCS Edit View : Project Explorer : <project> : Properties

Properties Popup : Debug : Program/Memory Load Options

Enable CIO function use (requires setting a breakpoint)
