Compiling progress bar doesn't work on CCS5.4

Hi,

I was a user of CCS5.3 and now I installed (fresh installation) the newer 5.4.

Everything works well, right now, but the project building progress bar (and the CCS icon in the WIN application bar)   does not work as expected: it immediately reaches the 100%, and it's not possible to well understand the progress status. 

I played with different compiler versions (v7.3.12 and v7.4.5) and different built settings (parallel built ON or OFF, 2 processors OR parallel jobs), but the progress bar does not work as expected, and as it worked with CCS5.3 I used until yesterday.

Not a big problem, anyway any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    I guess you might have loaded the code onto RAM and not Flash. That might be the scenario!

    BTW which controller are you using?

    Hi Gautam,

    Thanks for the fast answer. Probably my question was not so clear. I'm talking about the compiling progress bar, not the loading.

    The building of my project takes, more or less, 50 seconds, but the building progress bar is 100% after 2 seconds.

    Ohhh sorry mate. You're talking about building!

    Ok, here are the cases:

    1. When a project is already built; ie first time it will take maximum time and then its pretty quick. 

    2. If you want to go for the slower building or complete building again then: Right click on the current active project and click on Re-build Project option

    No problem. 

    I'm already doing a complete rebuild of the project, and it takes 50 sec., but the progress bar is 100% just after 2 sec. (and stays at 100% for the others 48 seconds). I try to be more clear. This is my sequence:

    1- clean project

    2- rebuild project (yes, I know I don't need a rebuild after a clean...)

    3- now I see the "rebuild project" windows on the screen, and the CCS console window shows the building messages.

    4- after a couple of scoupleeconds the progress bar in the "rebuild project" window is 100%. This is wrong, because the building is just started, and it would take other 50 seconds.

    5- the building is still in progress, I can see the output messages in the CCS console (CDT build console). the progress bar is still 100%

    6- after 50 seconds the building ends. The console shows "**** Build Finished ****", The "problems" window shows some warning.  The "rebuild project" windows disappears from the screen.

     

    Hoping this could give you a better understanding.

    Its a CCS Bug , mate :)
