License key code composer studio v5????

Hey Everyone,

My CCS is asking me license key .Does the license key costs you up?I am just blank about it.And more over my code size is not 16kb so that i can check mark MSP430.

If you use CCS and MSP430s with code under 16kb it is for free. Maybe you need to select free license from Help -> CCS Licensing Information

Hi Nikita,

As Maciej has recommended, you can opt for "Code size limit" license for MSP430.

Hi Nikita,

you don't need a key or code. Assuming you are using v5 (correct), which is what I strongly recommend, you simply do as our friends have posted help->code composer studio licensing information->upgrade tab ... the "launch license setup". You should be able to select the code size limited msp430 license.

Please keep us informed and note v4 does not function this way for the limited license.
