  • Hello Stefan,

could you give a short description of what you want to do and what you mean with "live session"?

It looks like you want to do a profiling with the CCS System Analyzer. Therefore you need a project that includes the "UIA" software package, and that this package is compatible to the hardware platform you are using.

The following tutorial might help you, if I understood you right:

  • Hi Stefan,

we believe this was a known issue fixed in v.5.5.  Would you be willing to do the migration?

If so I would recommend a full fresh installation in parallel.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

thank you for your replay. Do you know which bugfx do you mean ( see http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/CCSv5/CCS_5_5_0/exports/ReleaseNote.htm ) ? It's a condiderable expenditure for us to do the migration. If we are sure that the bug is fixed in v5.5 we could do the migration. Is it possible to use the older compiler (7.4.2), bios ( 6.35.01.25 ) , uia (1.03.00.02) and XDCTOOL ( 3.25.00.48 ) in this version?

    Best Regards,

    Stefan

  • Stefan,

We're looking at the possibility of providing a CCS5.4 patch to resolve this issue ... will be back to you shortly on if/when this can be made available.

    Regards,

    Imtaz.

  • The problem still exists so these are good news.

    Best Regards,

    Stefan

  • Stefan,

Can you clarify what you meant by 'the problem still exists'? Did you upgrade to CCS5.5 and still seeing the problem?

The problem fixed in CCS5.5 (resulting in the same exception you reported) occurs when using certain logger/transport combinations. Can you provide more info on the UIA configuration (transport/logger) you're using?

    Thanks,

    Imtaz.

  • Stefan,

Just following up on this ...

We put a hold on releasing a CCS5.4 patch (with the fix for the problem fixed in CCS5.5) in order to get clarification if by "the problem still exists" you meant in CCS5.4 or CCS5.5.

If CCS5.4, then we can release the patch to see if it resolves your problem. If CCS5.5, then it is most likely a different problem from the one that was fixed ... in which case we'll need more info on your configuration to further investigate.

    Thanks,

    Imtaz.

  • Hello Imtaz,

sorry for my late response. We meant CCS5.4. What i wanted to say was, that this is still a problem for us and we need a solution. We are now much interested in your patch.

    Thanks,

    Stefan

  • Stefan,

Please send me a PM (iali@ti.com) for a link to the patch. Also can you let us know what logger/transport you're configuring UIA for? This will help to determine if this fix will most likely resolve your issue.

    Regards,

    Imtaz.

  • Hello,

i send a PM but i got no answer until yet. Did you received my message? Could you send me please the patch?

    Regards,

    Stefan

  • Stefan,

I received your PM and we responded on Oct 11. I just resent that email ... let us know if you do not receive it.

    Thanks,

    Imtaz.
