I'm a C developer quite comfortable with Linux. ViM is my editor of choice. I'm considering buying a TI evaluation board and I'd like to ask if it's possible to avoid CCS altogether and use gcc alone to compile and link my applications? In particular, I'd like to know:
- Is it possible to link against the SDK downloaded with the free version of CCS with gcc and not have any limitations?
- Will the programmer downloaded with the free version of CCS enforce any limitations? If so, can it be invoked from command line? If not, what alternatives are there for programming the boards?
