CCSv5_5 hostid check failing for licensing

I have a node locked seat of CCS.  5.4 worked fine.  I just upgraded to 5.5, and get "UNLICENSED" in the lower left of the eclipse window.  I check licensing technical information, and it says my hostid doesn't match.  Now... this is the same machine I've had for some time, so I know that's bogus.  I do, however, have two NICs, so I thought it might be looking at the other NIC.  I rehosted the license to that MAC address, but no joy.  Still doesn't work.

My license is a permanent, uncounted license.  The machine has the correct MAC address listed in the "Show Technical Information" error message.  Yet for some reason, license checkout is failing.

I'm running Ubuntu 13.04, 64-bit.  What gives TI?
