Hi,

Currently I am working on eZdsp TMS320LF2407.And i am familiar with it now.

Now i have question that can the TMS320LF2407 IC and its emulator are available seperatly.

So that i can purchase the IC in bulk and for all that ICs only one emulator.

Hi Sonali,

If you check this link: you'll find that this IC is no more available. So I don't know how're you going to purchase this IC in bulk. It has been Replaced By TMS320F28232. TheJTAG Emulator/ Analyzer that you can use is XDS560 (for programming these ICs).

Hello Gautam,

I went through the link. The 2407 is really obsolete.

But i am not able to find the experiment kit for  TMS320F28232. Is anyone available for this one.

Sonali, why don't you go for TMS320F28335 Experimenter's Kit. Its a very powerful device with excellent peripheral interfaces. Check it out:

There are many more TMS320F based evaluation boards wrt to applications. If you can share the application you're planning to work on, I can suggest an evaluation kit.

texas is saying that 2407 is obsolete. Then how the distributors are selling in this quantities

Sonali,

As Gautam mentioned, there are much more modern and lower cost DSPs currently available. However, if you are in the final stages of your product development you must validate your design for the TMS320LF2407A - despite NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs), it is still available.

Regarding development tools for your prototype boards, you must to purchase a copy of Code Composer Studio v5 and get a free link to download CCSv3.3 (check the details in red on this page).

Emulators are available from third parties such as USB2000 or a XDS510LC.
