License

Hi!!

Our CCSv5 evaluation license is soon depleted and now we stand in front of selecting license type. But I couldn't find answers on all my questions on the TI web so I hope I can get answers here.

Sometimes we visit customers and often there is no way of having a stable connection to the office network. Will a floating license cover this user case? I'm thinking that the return of the license is perhaps only possible when a connection to the license server exist? So if the license could not be returned (prior to a trip just disconnect the network while CCS is running??) CCSv5 might work until the license could be returned (when network connection is back). Or?

What type of license server is required? Any additional cost associated with the server?

Just to confirm my understanding about node locked licenses; can it ever be transferred to another computer (e.g. in case of updating the computer)? I don't think so but it would be a little annoying if the CCS license would hold back a hardware upgrade.
