Problem in Setting Up 28335 Project

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hello All,

I am trying to set up a new project in CCS5 based on the 28335 processor.

To get started, I simply copied the FlashingLeds project in to a new folder called "Inverter_V2" located in the controlSuite at C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\TemplateProjects\FlashingLeds-F28335_v1.0.

The folder "Inverter_V2" is located at the same location i.e. C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\TemplateProjects

Then  I imported this in CCS5 and gave a build. It works fine till this stage.

After this, I included some of my project specific files related to EPWM initialization. However, As soon as I do that, it throws up an error saying "identifier Epwm1Regs is undefined"

I have  included the file "DSP2833x_GlobalVariableDefs.c" where these Register names have been defined and yet I get an error.

Can someone please take a look and suggest some solutions?

 4807.Inverter_V2.zip

The project directory is attached.

Thanks!

Jimit

  • I haven't looked at you project, but I think you may be missing DSP2833x_Headers_nonBIOS.cmd.

Change the extension to cmd  and add it to your project directory.

  • Wait......you do have that file in your project.

Did you forget to hash include "DSP2833x_EPwm.h"?

    Stephen

  • Hello Stephen,

I already have that file included in my project. So I don't think that's an issue.

I guess its something very basic related to the initial setup that I am not able to figure out.

    Thanks,

    Jimit.

  • Hello Stephen,

    Yes, I guess that's it!

    I didn't include the DSP2833xx_Epwm.h file.

I shall include it, check and revert back. But I am pretty sure that's the issue.

    Thanks a lot,

    Jimit.

  • Hi Stephen,

I have confirmed that the problem was due to the missing header file.

    Thanks,

    Jimit.
