CCS5.4 license expired

Hello,

90 days ago I installed CCSv5.4 on a new computer (Window 7). For some reason, the installation only gave me a 90 day license. The previous computer (having windows XP and CCSv5.4) I had did have that time restriction. I decided not to deal with the issue until the 90 days was up, which is today. The problem is that its offering me another 90 Day Extension.

Why can't I get another license without the 90 day time restriction like on my previous windows XP installation?

Hi Stephen,

Do you have a purchased license? If so, you likely need to migrate it to attach it to the MAC address of your new pc.

If not, aside from the trial there are only two types of free licenses. One limited by the hardware allowed - the free limited license (for the xds100 and various evaluation kits). The other is the code size limited msp430 license.

I am just using the xds100. How do I get the free limited license.

Help->Code Composer Studio Licensing Information-> Upgrade Tab ... "Launch License Setup".
