I am having similar issues but I have not been able to resolve them.  I have wasted hours of effort trying to install code composer on a Windows 8.1 computer.

I have attached a log.

    Hi Jeffery,

    A couple things.  First of all, please note it is never recommended to attach to an old post.   Luckily it was a recent enough one you didn't fall through the cracks here.  This time, I have created a new thread for you.

    The other thing is if you could please send the installation log, this is in the installjammer registry directory which may be hidden and is under program files or program files (x86).   

    Some linger issues with the installer are - antivirus (you must make sure this is turned off) and connections between inside and outside of a VM setup.
