Best version for new user V3.3 ? V4

I'm new to TI and starting a new project targeted to a TMDSDOCK28335 development kit. I can get the Flashing LED example running with no problems with 3.3 but don't know where to get started under the newer v4. Is there a good "getting started" for this board under V4? Is V4 stable and relatively friendly to a new user?

I've got lots of experience in other envirionments and on DSP's in general but just need to get a leg up on this new TI processor.

Hi Robert,

CCS V4.x is the product of choice for you since CCE 3.x is discontinued. Have a look at the CCS support sites (http://www.tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/CCSv4) were you can find some 'getting started' tutorials.

I just wanted to be sure of the correct path since, in any case there will be a bit of a learning curve. Things worked on CCE 3.3 because all the documentation was stable, but I'll commit to V4.

As aBUGSworstnightmare already mentioned, CCSv4 is definitely the way to go. There is a Getting Started Guide specific to C2000 on the wiki:
