Character set for C2000 compiler v6.1.0

Hi,


I am searching for information on the character sets (execution and source) used by the C2000 compiler v6.1.0. SPRU514E does not seem to provide this information, but having seen this post an earlier version of the document states that they are ASCII.

Does anyone know if this statement for v5.0 is still correct for v6.1 or can point me in the direction of further documentation? I acknowledge the changes listed in section 8.1.4 of SPRU514E.

My other theory is that the character set is the same as the GCC GNU standard. Would this be correct?
