  • I would expect this type of error to appear if CCS is unable to locate cl2000 (maybe due to component manager not being pointed correctly to where code generation tools are installed), or, if component manager is correctly pointed, maybe the build interface dll needs to be re-registered.

First go into CCS Component Manager (Help->About->Component Manager) and check that the version of Build Tools selected for 28xx is pointing to a path that contains cl2000.

If this is ok, then try manually re-registering the bti2000.dll by doing the following:

    1. Close CCS
    2. Open a command window
    3. cd to C:\CCStudio_v3.3\c2000\cgtools\bin (or whichever path is pointed to by the version selected in component manager)
    4. type “regsvr32 bti2000.dll” (this should give a success message)
    5. Bring CCS back up and try to re-build the project.

  • Dear Aarti ,

    Thanks for the reply ,

    I have tried the same.

But than also same error is coming.

I went to CCS Component manager :

Name , Installed directory and version was there.

Than as suggested by you went to command window "C:\CCStudio_v3.3\c2000\cgtools\bin" path typed regsvr32 bti2000.dll following message came :

    "Dllregister server in bti2000 succeeded"

    Kindly help

  • Prashant,

Does the compiler run from a command line? That is, can you open a command window, go the folder where the compiler executables are, and type cl2000 and see if that works? If this works, there could be something corrupted in the CCS installation, and you may need to uninstall and reinstall CCS.

If this is the only version of CCS you have installed on this PC, you want to make sure to clean out the registry after uninstalling CCS through Windows Add/Remove Programs. Please refer to this FAQ on which registry entries to remove: http://tiexpressdsp.com/wiki/index.php?title=CCStudio_FAQ#Q:_When_upgrading_to_newer_versions_of_Code_Composer_Studio.2C_how_do_I_clean_the_Windows_Registry.3F
