Code Generation tools

With my last CCS I had this (see doc attached) but with the new I don't have the line Effective Code Generation tools

as I said on the other post, normally ccs will automatically chose an installed compiler version and it is normally safe to ignore such a message.  However, if this still blocks you please feel free to continue with me on our offline conversation.

the Problem is that the compilator stop to compile, it's a like a mistake.

this was the error:

This project was created using a version of Code Generation tools that is not currently installed: 5.2.2 [C2000]. Please install the Code Generation tools of this version, or migrate the project to one of the supported Versions.

Then I'd see that the Effective Code Generation Tools Parameter don't appear in the Built Parameter from my CCS 4,2,5. And it existe in my last Version.

Have I to select something to enable the Effective Code Generation Tools? 

Hi Michael,

I usually in such situations solve problem this way:

1. Create a new empty project for specific device on new CCS version.

2. Copy all source files in new project.

3. Compile the project.

On my experience the Import existing CCS project ... is not working correct in some cases.

can you confirm the version of code generation tools you were using?  5.2.2?

I mean the msp430 compiler version .... then I can see about sending you the version you were using before if you don't have a copy still.

Hello,

CCS can compile my project but only with Code Generation tools: TI v6.0.1. Before I had TI v.5.2.11, my project is now close to be finish could this difference bring Problem?

I would like know the difference between TI v6.0.1 and TI v.5.2.11 before to charge my software and do the test.

these questions are best asked in the msp forum as the compiler comes from that group.  If you need a specific version, both they can help or I should be able to provide that.
