Is it possible to build a C2000 project with cgtoolsv3.xx and BIOSv4.90.xx under CCS3.3?

My customer needs to make some updates to a C2000-based product that they developed a  few years ago. The S/W was build with CCS2.2/BIOSv4.90.00.2/CGTOOLSv3.07 however they no longer have any PCs with these older tools installed and working. Is it possible to use CCS3.3 with the older BIOS and CGTOOLs to build this or do we need to ressurect CCS2.2? I didn't see any CCS3.3 friendly releases of these cgtools at the internal release site, so I'm guessing we have to go bakc to 2.2.

  • Ruben,

Both tools (BIOS and CGT) do not have standalone installs that could be used by CCS3.3, therefore CCS2.2 should be installed.

Even if your customer installs CCS2.2 and wants to use CCS3.3 IDE, I don't think it will be possible. In my lab machine I have CCS2.21 (for C6000) and CCS3.3 installed and I can select the older CGTools in the component manager, however I can't see the older BIOS release to select and use it.

    Cheers,
