Doubts with XDS100v2 hardware

Hi all, i have seen reference model for XDS100v2 linked on XDS100. I have seen too the schematics used on some development kits as TMDSCNCD28377D_v1_0, TMDSCNCD28069ISO_v1_0, TMDSCNCD28055ISO and TMDSCNCD28M36_v1_2 from control suite. I have some doubts about these models. On XDS100 page the model shown have a CPLD while the others schematic models found on control suite don't have it. Besides, some schematics on control suite have a Quad nand chip for EMU0 and EMU1 pins while others schematic don't have it.

Can someone tell me why are there these differences? What improvements has the reference model compared with control suite models? Can i built a custom isolated XDS100v2 using examples found on control suite with the same features than reference model?

thanks you to answer me. I know this link but my question is about the differences between this model and the implementation used on the development kits shown on control suite as TMDSCNCD28M36 (for example).

I dont understand why use a CLPD if the same aim can be reach like is shown on TMDSCNCD28M36 schematic, for example. I would like to link that schematic but i think it is only on control suite, sorry.

Could you help me about this subject?

The link has been fixed. I did notice the difference between the XDS100v2 emulator and XDS100v2 embedded on the docking station. If you read the datasheet of the CPLD, it mentions that:

The CoolRunner™-II 32-macrocell device is designed for both high performance and low power applications. This lends power savings to high-end communication equipment and high speed to battery operated devices. Due to the low power stand-by and dynamic operation, overall system reli-ability is improved.

So other than improving the reliability/power consumption of the device (as it is sold individually as an Emulator), I don't think it serves any other purpose. For more details on the CPLD, check this out: http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/data_sheets/ds310.pdf
