  • Hi James,

    Moving this to correct(CCS) Forum.

    Thanks.

  • Hi James,

Which connector on the board you are connecting to? do you have the second Jtag motherboard connected?

    Thanks,

    HR

  • HI HR,

We 1st tried the mini-USB connector on the main EVM.  We then tried the USB on the attached XSS560v2 (XDS560v2 Mezzanine daughter card) and the resulting error was the same.  Have you seen this issue before with TMDSEV6657 EVM?  When we connected to XDS560v2 Mezzanine daughter card, we did try adjusting jumpers J4 and J5 which by default were set to Mini USB and external/Mezzanine Emulator respectively since depopulated.

  • Hi James,

Do you have the board with the XDS560v2 mezzanine board or with the XDS200, so if you want to use the on board XDS100 than you should remove the mezzanine board (try this) if you want to use the mezzanine board than connect only to the Mezzanine board USB connection,

    Thanks,

    HR

  • We have Assy 516010 Rev (XDS2xx).

  • James,

Have you tried removing the XDS200 mezzanine board and connect to the XDS100 Jtag?

    Thanks,

    HR

  • Yes we tried both ways as previously described...connecting to XDS100 Jtag with XDS200 mezzanine board removed as well as connecting to XDS200 mezzanine board.  Any additional thoughts and/or settings that we should review in our setup?  Have you seen this issue before and if so what are the main causes?

  • HR,

Any additional input on above.  Also, what is link for XDS200 USB driver for PC?

  • James - What version of CCS are you using? The XDS200 drivers should come with the latest version of CCSv5.

Note that the EVM will default to any external emulator if one is attached (like the XDS200 or XDS560v2 Mezz card). So to use the on-board XDS100v1, you should remove the mezz card (which you already tried).

What is the JTAG connectivity test results when you try to use the mezz card emulator?
