Hi.

I recently switched to a new computer with a new installation of CCS Version: 5.2.1.00018 (the same that I was using prior). I currently have two projects in my workspace; one that can build, and one which cannot. The error that I get is pasted below:

C:\ti\ccsv5\utils\bin\gmake -k all
This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.
gmake: *** [DSP2802x_Adc.obj] Error 1
This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.
gmake: *** [DSP2802x_CSMPasswords.obj] Error 1
This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.
gmake: *** [DSP2802x_CodeStartBranch.obj] Error 1
This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.

This repeats to include many .obj files.

How can I fix this?

Hi Brian,

this sounds suspiciously like a firewall/anitivirus/permissions item.

Have you google searched?

Our company does use this type of blocking software, but, what's strange is that the other project in the workspace builds just fine.

I recently imported both projects into this new workspace, and then had to change the build settings. I may have deleted one of the linker file paths by mistake; there's no way to check the old hard drive because it has failed.

Do both projects use the same compiler?

From the error output I am not sure if the gmake program, or a program which gmake is attempting to call, is being blocked.

Each project the same way: I imported an existing CCS Eclipse project; both originally made with the same version of software.

I've tried it twice now; but get the same result.

Yes, they use the same compiler.

I've asked our IT group to unblock gmake.exe, as well as .mk files, but it hasn't helped. Maybe Lisa could suggest if it's another program being blocked besides gmake.exe?

I have finally solved the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling the same version of Code Composer.

The installation went normally (just as it had the first time), so I have no explanation. But at least it works.
