CCS installation error

Hi Champs,

             My customer reported that their PC can not install CCSv2 successfully if the PC has installed CCSv3. The error information is "set up has encountered an infinite loop error in the script. Correct the script error and try again. Error 424".

             The windows software is "windows XP professional 2002,  server pack 3 ",

             Any idea to fix this issue?

    Jane,

    Despite I didn't have a similar issue as reported by your customer, I found that installing CCSv2.2 after CCSv3.3 caused other problems, as several components were configured to point to the older release (including BIOS, CGT, etc), thus breaking the newer one. I solved this by installing CCS2.2 and then CCSv3.3 in the machine - the newer release did not touch the older installation, therefore both worked (and still work) fine for me. I have CCS2.21, 3.1, 3.3 and 4.1 installed in my lab machine.
