WARNING! Saitek x52 recognized as XDS560

I am not sure if this is well known but after a simple google search pulled up nothing and the hour of hair-pulling this caused for me I thought I should post this on here.  For some reason CCS (and the xds560 diagnotisc utility) will recognize a Saitek X52 joystick as a xds560 and if you are using such an emulator will cause it to fail.  Solution is simple, unplug the device.

  • That's the first I've heard of this. Is that the USB version of the XDS560?

  • I actually own a PCI version.  The problem is that CCS and Diagnostic will see the Saitek and think it is another xds560 (I assume usb version) and thus reporting me having 2 xds560s.  Since neither (CCS and Diag) can do their voodoo on the Saitek they fail on it dispite having a working PCI '560.

Here are the USB IDs for the joystick if it helps:

    HID\VID_06A3&PID_0255\6&99CC051&0&0000
    USB\VID_06A3&PID_0255\5&25D0257B&0&1

Any other way I can help let me know and I will do my best to help you out.
