Unable to Use gconf.exe with Limited XP Account

Hi,

I've just changed my Windows XP account type to Limited and I can no longer run gconf.exe.

If I try to run gconf.exe, either from the CCSv4.02 IDE or directly, I get "Unable to Create BIOS Config Server" (dialog title is "ScriptPane"). If I switch the XP account back to Administrator it runs again.

My XP account has full control for "c:\Program Files\Texas Instruments".

(GConf V5.00, BIOS V5.41.00.06, CCS V4.02.01003)

Any ideas about how to configure the Windows options so that I can use gconf.exe without being an Administrator would be gratefully recieved!

You could try using CACLS to changing the user permissions on gconf.exe

Thanks but my user account already has Full Control for the entire Texas Instruments folder. I did this using the Windows Explorer GUI. I checked the gconf's permissions using CALCS and it displayed my user account permissions as Full Control.

I there something more I can do than specify Full Control?

There must be a folder outside the main CCS folder being used or perhaps a registry entry. A BIOS expert can confirm this...
