C6416 DSK emulator Erros

Are you using the full version of CCS or the DSK version? Are you using an external emulator or the on-board emulation?

Please post a screen shoot of your CCS configuration.

I am getting the same error, but I am running the CCS in a VM (vmplayer). HR can you please tell me what did you change in the config/gel files?

Does any one know if CCS can connected to the board through a VM.

The Host OS is Ubuntu 9.04 and the Guest runnig CCS is Winxp SP3.

Hi HR Thank you for the reply, but I am really new to this, could describe it in a little detail.

I have installed the driver that comes in the CD, is there a update that we have to download from the net ?

What has to be updated in the gel files?

Please make sure you are using the latest CCS SR (I think it is SR12) and to take the correct driver from SD which correspond to the CCS version you are using,

I faced with this error,too, you solved it. But cause of I'm newer in using TI components I coludn't understand meaning of "mixture of Board config/gel file & PC reset".

Can help me and explain step by step that what should I do?

Hi Yilmaz,

Wit CCS3.3 you have to setup the board before running CCS, than you should also check the board switches if they are in Jtag mode than you should define the correct gel file which is a scripting file which initialize the board (PLL) memory and more on connecting to the board,

I'm using eZdsp 28F335 Starter Kit. I have used it in Windows 7 with ccs v4. While using I did not any initialize and any gel file using. But by the time, it has started not to work properly so I decided to pass windows xp. Now I'm trying to use it in virtual xp mode, I did all loadings properly but at the soon when I try to connect to board (starter kit) sometimes it gives port error and sometimes it shows loading and it's loading forever (it should less then 10 seconds).

I'll make an addition, I don't write any codes in Ccs, I get c codes from matlab then I load it to ccs and I run the ccs.

Hi all,

Cause of I loaded the Ccs v3.3. from it's install CD, as a default it setted up eZdsp f28335 and its gel file. I have all loadings but it's still giving i/o port : 540 error and before of it. I looked up whether the port in using or not. But port 540 is not in using. What should I do?
