ccs5.5 hardware trace analyzer

I am sorry I am late for verifying  the answer, because I have read all the docs. Yes, it is very helpful for me, and now I know how to use ccs's profile tools, thank you very much. But when I read a doc, I have two questions, there two picture below :

pic1 set buffer size and number of pins, is there some relevance  between them? Can I set number of pins other num,etc 10, and set the buffer size 10M?

pic2 L1D read hit pathA and L1D read hit pathB, I am not clear the pathA and pathB ,is it the data address paths (DA1 and DA2)  connected to the .D units in both data paths? If it is, when I profile cache, need I profile both L1D read hit pathA and L1D read hit pathB in different EVENT?

The 6678 EVM can support Pro Trace.... but you still need to have the Pro Trace receiver to use it.

Did you buy a separate Pro Trace receiver?

If not, then you will have to use the ETB to capture trace data.

Thanks for your reply, the ETB buffer is too small, and new trace data is too easy to coverage the old info,so is there any way to make it not coveraged.

You can specify a range to collect trace data or configure it to only collect a subset of data. You can also do some tricks like flush the buffer to memory when the memory is full.

Yes,  flush the buffer to memory when the memory is full, it's a good idea, but how can I flush the buffer to memory when  the memory is full, and when the trace data is be flushed to memory, how can I profile the trace data? Load it from memory? If it 's,how can I profile the loaded out data?  Can you give me an example. Thanks.

No. Pro Trace is a special type of debug probe that support PC/Core Trace. The XDS560v2 based emulators do not support this:
