Hello everyone,
Our department just started a new project involving some development in TI DSPs (C2000 family), using TI's CCS IDE. I would like to gather some expert opinions about which could be the less-painful way to get started: we got our hands on a pair of very new TI DSKs for which CCS 4.0 should be working fine, but the problem is that we also got some legacy code that was developed for CCS 3.3.
Since I am just beginning to work with TI's tools I am unable to compile to legacy code as-is by myself in CCS 4.0 since a lot of errors pop-up while converting, and working on those the best that I can gets me nowhere: so I am guessing that a good idea would be to fall back to CCS 3.3, but I cannot find a download link for it, even for DSKs.
What would be your advice? Keep working in the project in CCS4.0 or fall back to CCS3.3?
Nevertheless, I cannot either find books or tutorials on how to use Code Composer Studio: do you have any link to a nice resource where I can learn about how do all these acronyms do?
Thank you very much in advance,
C.M.
