Problem during CC5.5 update

Hi,

I downloaded the full setup for the code composer 5.5 and the inatallation works fine, however when I try to update it I am getting an error and the CC won't start anymore.

I got this problem with 2 pcs already, one with Win7 64 and one with XP.

I believe it is related to the fact that I have a proxy; I have tried to add the proxy settings in the CC before launching the update but still no luck.

 

The only option is to uninstall it and reinstall it without checking for updates.

 

Do you have any suggestion? I have attached the installer files as suggested by the error dialog.

    I'm not able to tell precisely what is causing the update to fail from this log but your assumption about the proxy is probably correct. You can get CCS working again by renaming the c:\ti\ccsv5\downloads folder to something else.

    The update that failed looks target content related. If you need these versions, they are downloadable as zip files that can be manually installed.

    Hi Andy,

    thanks for the info: locating the folder C:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse\downloads allowed me to dig a bit further into the error,

    the main issue is the XDCTools, the update for the version 3.25.4.88: it downloads the setup file correctly, but at the reboot of cc, when the setup starts I am getting the following error :

    "Unable to access http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/TargetContent/Updates/full. Check your settings and try again"

    But if I am not mistaken there is a full update from here:

    http://downloads.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/rtsc/

    where there is an even newer version, the 3.25.05.94. Am I correct?
