CCSv4.0.2 is expected to be posted before end of week (Oct 30, 2009), so within the next day. The release notes will be available then.
Key changes (as a heads-up):
Added support for MSP430F55xx, MSP430F54xx, C6472, F28035, OMAP3630, eZ430-Chronos. Also includes several fixes to installation process, ROV, C28x debug session, and to disassembly window. Improved robustness too.

Hi Nabil,
WHAT A GREAT INFORMATION! I though I would have to wait until the release of V4.1 to get started with my XMS430F5529IPN parts!
So, I will check for updates by end of the week! Can't wait to test the USB interface!!!
Cheers

Hi,
The new version (4.0.2) is listed for download, but the upgrade (Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install) doesn't work.
Does it mean that I need to install new version from scratch or wait for the upgrade to be ready?

CCS 4.0.2 hangs up at changing of lay-out of keyboard (press keys Alt-Shift or Ctrl-Shift)
Eduard, we have noticed this problem on PC's with less than 1GB; how much memory (RAM) does the PC have? Recommended minimum configuration for CCS is 1GB.

HI Eduard,
We are having trouble reproducing this particular issue. There were no changes in the status of this issue(i.e. hang during change of keyboard layout), thus we are not sure how it could have worked in the past (based on a separate post that you commented on). Is there something that could have changed in your environment that would cause this issue to appear and disappear? I'll follow up with you separately in original thread that deals with this issue.
Thanks,
Martin
Hi - I'm trying to upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2, in particular so that I can start on the F5529 kit I have here now. The "Check for Upgrades" appears to go well, and eventually starts downloading a file of 3741 KB in size, but then I get a message "Problem Occurred" "Update operation has failed". What do I do next???
Thanks - Scott.
Scott,
Are you running Vista with UAC on? I have seen problems here if you are running Vista with UAC on AND have CCS installed under program files then Windows will block the final part of the download (basically when Eclipse Update Manager puts the update installer under the CCS directory). There are a couple ways to get around this. The preferred way is to turn off UAC as it is just a pain, if your IT policy requires that UAC be on then you will need to reinstall CCS in a directory that is not under program files.
Regards,
John
Hi John, and thanks for your quick reply.
Just for the record I agree with your comment about Vista's access control and yes I turned it off on day 1.
Regarding dowloading again I have now done that and found quite a large set of downloads - which have downloaded without a hitch and seem to have installed nicely.
Thanks again - Scott :)
