Compatibility problems with Windows 8.1

Greetings TI E2E team,

I can't install Code Composer version 5.1..0.09000 on my Windows 8.1 machine, I receive an error message (in print screen image attached) which reports compatibility problems with Windows 8.1 registry.

I'm using this older version because it's the version supplied at my university, with permanent license included, we work with the TMS320C6713 DSP Starter kit.

What I should do to solve this problem?

Hi Daniel,

I would update to version 5.5. That version supports Windows 8. You can use the same permanent license you use with 5.1 with it.

I've installed the software without any problems and the license file worked.
TI e2e has a great support team, my problem was solved quickly.
