CCS 4 Installation Problem

Hello Everyone,

I am facing a problem in running CCS v4 Core on my desktop.Though the installation process is completed succesfully, when I try to run the CCS, a message is displayed saying "Widows cnnot find file eclipse.exe..."..

Please provide directions for running the CCS.

Hi,

which CCS version did you install from (PLATINUM, MCU Core, ..) and were did you got it (i.e. downloaded from here: http://www.tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/Download_CCS)?

You've chosen the default installation and then attempted to start via the desktop shortcut, right? Can you pls post a screenshot showing the error message?

I'm having the same issue. After I install CCS4.1 and click the icon for CCS on the desktop I get "windows is searching for the file 'eclipse.exe'. to locate yourself click browse".

after taking no action it then shows:

"the item 'eclipse.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. do you want to delete this shortcut?"

What is the path to eclipse.exe that the shortcut has? And where did you actually install CCS?

I installed CCS into the Texas Instruments folder in Program files. The installation didn't go correctly (it "installed" in less than 1 minute), and the icon on my desktop had a broken link.

I reinstalled using someone else's version of CCS from a USB stick (install took several minutes) and it works now. Not sure why it didn't work when I downloaded from myregisteredsw the first time.

Since I have it working now I don't know the path to eclipse.exe.

When you installed the downloaded image did you unzip it first or just open the zip and run the setup program? If it was the later then the main installer would have run but not have been able to call any of the sub-installers (which install most of the product).

I have the exact same issue. I unzipped the setup and I'm running it with UAC off and admin privs, not eclipse installed. Getting angy!

Hi Lee,

I solved the issue by extracting the contents of the zip file to a folder on my desktop, and running the executable from there. I made the mistake of trying to run the executable from winzip (It couldn't find the other components of the installation). I hope this helps.
