Problem with CTRL+Click

Hello,

I use CCS v5.3 and I have a workspace including 2 projects based on the same architecture.

1 works fine and the other crashs when I want to load it ; the build seem to work fine for both.

I have seen that on the one which crashs, the redirection of subroutines doesn't work (shortcut CTRL+ click).

How can I solve this problem ?

Thank you for your help.

  • Hi Mattieu,

without further details, here are some initial thoughts

    - upgrade to v5.5

    - create a new workspace and import the projects

    - send any error logs (hs_err)   or .dmp files generated

  • Hello,

I have tried to import the project in a new workspace but I have the same problem for the main.c : the subroutine is underlined when I point it but when I CTRL+Click on it, nothing happen.

What is wierd is that on the subroutine .c file, the call of sub-subroutines work fine.

I attach the error log file.0310.attachement.zip

  • Hi Matthieu,

I ran this by a colleague as well.  If you mean the "open declaration", that seems to work for us from a simple test.   Have you enabled the indexer and/or tried reindexing the project?  If you right click on the project you should find the indexing option(s).

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your answer.

I have seen the options when I right click on the project ; I rebuild the index but the problem is the same.

I think the problem occured when I wanted to save my project ; what I did is that I copy and paste the project with Windows Explorer to keep a saved version and go on to work with the pasted version.

Could there be a problem with the include files ?

  • Hi Mattieu,

it is possible the cut and paste has affecting things.  What if you go back to the original project?  Or try a new clean project?

  • Hello,

I did a new CCS project and I copied the CCS source files in CCS explorer.

First, it didn't build because it couldn't find some .h files. When I put the directory in the project properties, it said that symbol are redefine.

After that, I put every source and header files at the root of the project (same folder) and it build fine but :

-problem with CTRL + click is still there for main.c

-I have 50 warnings saying "#830-D error processing pragma DATA_SECTION, verify format"

    Thank you for your help.

  • Hi Matthieu,

I was wondering if there is any chance we could take a look at your project?  There is nothing really that sticks out.  You are able to send it offline if you send me a friend/conversation request (my ID is a link).

    Best Regards,

    Lisa
