Trying to use CCS v4 unconnected

When trying to connect target C6745 using XDS100 in CCS4.0, we get the error connecting to the target; error 0x80002240/-151 Fata Error during: Initialization, OCS, Control

The software reset gives error like this C674X_0: Failed Software Reset: Trouble reading PC register: Error 0x00000020/-2011 Error during: Execution, An internal error occured which failed to reset the emulator.

 

I get these two error. Any suggestions?

    Loading the C6745 gel file solved the problem. Could you please share the JTAG interface schematic for your board.

    Suresh,

    I am using OLIMEX  XDS100 hardware, simply because it is the cheapest one available off the shelf (about £55). C6745 (176 pin PYP version of the chip) board I designed myself, is very simple and all it has is 1.2V core supply and 3.3 I/O supplies connected, RESET and TRST pulled up and TRST, TMS, TDI, TDO and TCK connected to the OLIMEX's 14 pin connector. I am using the free licence version of CCS v4 which allows you to use XDS100. Mine is not connecting to begin with, giving /-180 and /-151 errors. Hence I cant download GEL files and the option for GEL under tools menu remain inactive. I can send you further details my email address is i.tahir@lancaster.ac.uk.
