Error during CCS4 startup: java.lang.NullPointerException while "searching for local changes"

This happened after sending a copy of the build directory to a coworker.  Up until now we have been able to exchange directories without incident.  We have tried cleaning the project and deleting generated files but no luck so far.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
