ccsv5.4 installation problem

I've been trying to install ccs v5.5 for two weeks and I couldn't figure out what the problem is.

at first, warning message shows up, and it says"Installation detected pending reboot ~~~"

but even if i try right after rebooting my system, the same message shows up.

So I ignored them and proceeded. which lead to another error.

please help.

  • Hi Calvin

I see two issues.  You have a user name with special characters and you are using program files.

My recommendation.  Clear out all attempts including the logs.

Then try with antivirus off and a different user account.   Also you may be better with the v6 beta and may not need a different account.

    Best regards,

    Lisa

  • Okay, thank you for the advices.

I just want to make sure about the word 'clear'.

does this mean that just deleting setup file and remaining [c:\ti] folder won't be enough?

Will I have to roll back entire system and change username?

And by the way, TI should really think about issues involving OS in other languages.

  • Hi Calvin,

I would make sure the user account has no special characters.  You should manually delete all the relevant folder and isntallation logs.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa
