CCS 5.4 problem updating or installing software

Hi,

I recently installed CCS 5.4 and want to install the MercuialEclipse plugin. When I go to Eclipse Market place and try to install the plugin, I get an error that no repository is found at http://cbes.javaforge.com/update.

I get similar results if I click Help -> Check for Updates or go to Help -> Install New Software and click http://cbes.javaforge.com/update.

I'm using a fresh install in Ubuntu 12.04. I've also tried it in Windows 7 and get the same results.

How do I resolve this problem?

Hi Mike,

I was able to install this from the Eclipse Marketplace.

Note that the site URL is a bit different that the repo address you are listing:

Perhaps the site was temporarily down.

I get "Host not resolvable" error when I plug in http://cbes.javaforge.com/ into a browser. Maybe mercurialeclipse site at http://javaforge.com/project/HGE needs to be updated with new links.

I now see the error when I try the second entry instead of the first. I wonder if the second entry is obsolete, replaced by the first

I get the same dialog you got if I hit install for MercurialEclipse. I was trying to use MercurialEclipse (was: HGEclipse). This is the plugin I always used in the past because it has better ratings in the market and I like some of the features it has that the other version does not. I know I've installed it in CCS 5.4 in the past.

Is there anything in the CCS setup that could affect the installation? Where it looks for the plugin? etc?
