[C6713] Preventing double precision

I would like to know how to prevent double precision floating point arithmetic in ccs5.2 with c6000 v7.3.4. The url below shows 'float_operations_allowed=32', but I cannot find this option in the CCS IDE.

You posted this to the C6000 Single Core DSP hardware forum. This time, a moderator will move it to the C Compiler forum where you will get better answers.

The option might not be available for all ISAs, like it might be an ARM option and not for C6000. I do not know and have not heard of it.

Can you just specify all of your variables to be SP and then only get SP operations?

In what condition are you getting DP operations with only SP arguments?

The screen shot below shows how to set the option --float_operations_allowed.

Unfortunately I don't see the same setting in CCS v5.2.1.00018 . Is it possible set this in CCS v5.2.1.00018 ?

Sorry, this option is not available in the C6000 7.3.x branch. You'll have to move to 7.4.x or higher to get this option.

The best way to upgrade would be to upgrade CCS to version 5.5. You can go to the following link:
