I can not make completion of installing CCS V3.3



I need your help(experience)

I had tried to make completion of installing of CCS V3.3. But I couldn't it.

Install program stop when it's progress reach 80%(about).

I tried to install after copying program of CD into HDD. but fail to install it.

[My Envronment]

* Window XP

* internet is available

* USB port is available

 

  • Is this your first CCS install on the PC you are using?  Are there any older versions of CCS on the PC?

    Can you look at this Wiki Article to help you get more information on why the install is hanging.

    Here are a couple of issues we have come across that should be checked in your system:

    Check what version of msi.dll is on your PC. We found the following in one of the forums:
         For those that run into this problem <...> I found the solution that worked in our environment. The solution was to upgrade from Windows Installer v3.0 to v3.1! I wouldn't have though that it would have made a difference but it did. Nothing else I did made any impact on it stalling during the "InstallFinalize" step and I tested for about 4-5 days, but when I upgraded to v3.1 it breezes through the install just fine.

    If the dll version is less then 3.1.4000.2435, try running WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe before CCS 3.3 installation. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa372856(VS.85).aspx for details and download.

    We've also heard of installation problems on some machines with XDS560 drivers installation when the XDS560 card is not present. To work around this, users can select "Custom Install" at the beginning of the installation and unselect XDS560 drivers.

  • I have been trying to installer the code composer on my laptop but getting the error code 1719 related to the windows installer

    I checked my windows installer ver. And it is 4.5….

    I tried on another machine with installer ver v3.1 and no problem

    I just do not know how to downgrade the windows installer ver from 4.5 to 3.1 or what to do
