What is the correlation between Synchronous Mode, grouping cores and CTI in Aries? Will Aries CTI set up be still required under CCSv4?

I would imagine that CTI setup would still be needed. I don't think this would automatically be handled by using synchronous mode.

I thing that I got CTI working with changes to GEL and GEL load sequence. It seems that Synchronous mode is working but strangely. If I connect to both targets then I can use sync mode just fine. After system reset if sync mode is enabled then I can not run either device - Run button is disabled. I have to disable sync mode run R4 then run M3, then stop both of them individually and only after that sync mode can be used. Any suggestions? FYI, it is not how it worked in CCSv3. V3 PDM would simply issue sync command from the top of the device tree or at least it is how it looked like.
