CCSv4.1 is scheduled to be released by the end of this year (Dec/09). However, I encourage you to try the beta version which will be available in Nov/09. We will announce the beta on this forum.
Regarding Vista 64b support, please read the FAQ in the CCSv4 media Wiki. You may be able to use Vista today depending on the emulator you are using.

Hello Raju,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using the TI USB MSP430 FET, in addition to some DSP Tools, with CCS v4 on Vista-64.
I downloaded the MSP430-FET USB driver from the Wiki site - and it worked, that is, until I rebooted the machine. Now under Device Manager it says that it has disabled the device due to known problems with the driver and Vista-64. I have tried disabling the device and reinstalling the driver - and I get the same result.
So, I've only been able to use the TI USB-FET for the MSP430 just the first time.
I have the tools from Elprotronic for the 430 - but I haven't tried those yet.
I have also been able to successfully install the Piccolo Control Stick - but I haven't checked that across reboots as of yet.
Thanks,
johnw
Johnw,
I am guessing that you tried the un-official 64-bit driver release from our wiki?
