DM816x EVM and XDS510USB

I have  purchased DM816x EVM recently. I am not able to use XDS510USB with this EVM. The same emulator I am able to use with DM648 board. Are there any issues in using XDS510USB  with DM816x EVM? I knew there are some issues  with stellaris EVM. See below link.

  • Hi JK,

XDS510 does not support DM816x family. These are the emulators that support your board:

You can also check the supported devices list for XDS510 here:

  • JK,

Contrary to what Gautam found in the DM8168 page at ti.com, the XDS510USB is supported by the DaVinci family of devices (I contacted some folks internally and try to update that information - sorry Gautam).

However, not all XDS510USB emulators work the same. If you have a XDS510USB Plus, you will probably be able to connect to the board as it supports low-voltages and adaptive clocking. I could not connect my EVMDM8168 with my XDS510USB (non-Plus), therefore I imagine the standard emulator is not supported.

    Regards,
