Server Busy dialogue box appears when I save the tcf file

Hi,all
When I add DSP/BIOS to my application and ready to save the tcf file, CCS always displays
a dialogue box and the title of the box is "server busy". There are two option buttons in
the dialogue, but it doesn't work when I click the button and the dialogue appears again.

  • Could you post a screen capture of this box?

My first thought on this would be some BIOS problem, it may be worth updating to a newer BIOS version from the update advisor under the help menu of CCS to see if that has an impact on the failure.

  • I would check the file permissions on the TCF. If for some reason it has been marked as read-only CCS is known to throw such an error as a time-out mechanism. You can do right mouse click on it and see the file permission and correct if needed. Also, you should also be able to open the TCF as a standalone (without CCS) to see if there are any issues with that.

Some customers have reported somewhat similar behavior when multiple CCS was installed on the machine. If different CCS versions are installed in different drivers then these issues were not observed.

  • Hi,
         Thanks for your replies.
I have tried a few times, find the reason and solve it successfully.
When I add a new tcf file by file menu under CCS, I always save the file by pressing Ctrl + S.
In this situation, the dialogue box will come up. Actually Ctrl + S means save command, not save as command.
Maybe many people save files in this way.If I save the file by clicking save as from file menu, everything is OK.
Though this is not a big issue, but each time the box appears, I have to end the CCS through windows
task manager to get rid of it. It is very annoying.
