Hello,
we have some library projects wich are changed from static library to executable by CCSv6. The projects were created using CCSv5. When opening the projects in CCSv6, the entry "Output type" under Project > Properties > CCS General gets displayed as "Executable", but the library build is still OK. As soon as a different CG tools version is selected, the "C6000 Archiver" entry gets replaced by "C6000 Linker" and the library doesn't build any more.
Under CCSv5, the "Output type" gets displayed as 'DSP/BIOS v5.x Application (Static Library)' and a change of the compiler version works without any problem.
I attached an example project:
1157.LibTest.zip
Thanks,
Ralf
Ralf,
For me I get the problem where it shows the project type as executable and the properties show the settings for the linker instead of the archiver. I still get a .lib being generated but I doubt that it is valid. I will get a defect filed for this right away.
