CCSv4 and XDS100

Hello,

I use XDS100v1 clone with CCSv4 and I have some problems:

1/ I load program (control of three-phase invertor), run it in realtime polite mode, then disconnect. When I reconnect to target then PWM stop running for a while. This leads into high overcurrent in the inverter.

2/ Another thing is that Alt-R must be pressed twice to reset DSP (F2812 on eZdsp kit). First press reset target particulary and inverter hangs in random switch combination. This behaviour appears only after disconnecting and connecting again.

Any suggestions ?

  • Tomas,

When you say that the PWM stops running for a while, can you clarify?  Does this mean that the CPU is halted, and you have to manually restart it?  Or does this mean that you see the high overcurrent in the inverter, and then eventualy, without any interaction, the overcurrent goes away?

    Regards,

    Dan

  • Dan, thanks for answer.

CPU is halted and I must restart it. Overcurrent will persist until Alt-R is pressed, but I must press it twice. First press resolve overcurrent and second finally reset DSP.

    Acceptable behavior should be:

I connect to target, load program, run program in realtime mode, disconnect. After while I connect to target again and I except, that connecting to target will not affect running program.

Issue no. 1 (from my first post) is now clear for me. I have found, that problem should be with timer configuration. Software which I used for testing XDS100 was not mine and I have found, that autor didn't set FREE run bit in TxCON. But I have no HW to test it

    Regards,

    Tomas
