I've been using CCS 3.3 with the TMDSDOCK28335 Experimenter's Kit (with the onboard XDS100 JTAG emulator) and everything has been working great...but then I ran the FTClean utility from FTDI and now I can't connect to the board anymore.
The FTClean utility apparently thoroughly removes all Windows device drivers that have anything to do with the FTDI USB chipsets. I needed to run the utility, I just had no idea how much it was going to remove and I wasn't thinking about the fact that the JTAG emulator on the Experimenter's Kit uses an FTDI chip. So now when I plug in the Experimenter's Kit board, Windows does not recognize it and pops up the "Found New Hardware" dialog. At first, this seemed like a simple thing to fix - just reinstall the drivers. But I have been unable to get the XDS100 drivers reinstalled. I have tried locating the drivers on my disk, but I have found nothing. I have tried internet searches to find the drivers, I downloaded and ran the XDS100_v1_1_RTM.exe, but this had no effect.
If anyone out there has a clever idea of how to recover from this mistake, I'd appreciate it. I'm pretty sure I could uninstall everything and start from scratch, but I'm hoping there's an easier way.
