Output file info in CCS 3.3

The file format is COFF. You can run the OFD utility on the .out file to get the size of all the sections.

> C:\CCStudio_v3.3\C2000\cgtools\bin\ofd2000.exe app.out

Thanks for the info. But while running some of the programs like hex2000 and xref2000 in this directory

I get the error "COFF file has wrong magic number". I'm running these against a .out file created for the

2407 dsp (TMS320LF2407A EVM).  So my question is if the files in C:\CCStudio_v3.3\C2000\cgtools\bin

will give the correct info for the 2407 dsp.

Hi ngt,

If you work with CCS it might be easier that linker generates .map file (build options, linker tab), where you can see detailed data how much each section takes within each code file.

Did ofd2000 fail? I just tried it out on a 2407 out file successfully.

ofd2000 is for 28x.  The 24x codegen tools are in the \C2400\cgtools directory.  I don't see an ofd in there.  Going to move this to the compiler forum.
