CCS 6.0 Windows 7 Failed to Install

Hi all!

I am having a huge issue trying to install Code Composer Studio 6.0.x on my Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1 PC. I perform the following steps (until it has the (very) hard error) as follows:

  1. Download full CCS 6.0 binaries (just like ISO image)
  2. Click on the ccs_setup_xxx.ex 
  3. Setup complains about Firewall being active, and asks if I want to continue  - 
  4. Select Yes
  5. License Agreement comes up
  6. Agree to the License Agreement
  7. Hit Next
  8. Brings up default install folder
  9. Hit Next
  10. Select the Processor I am interested in (DM81xxx)
  11. Hit Next
  12. CCS presents which emulators that I want to install
    1. XDS100 is default, and XDS 200 as well (and won't allow me to uncheck this option)
    2. Select Blackhawk Emulators
  13. Hit Next
  14. HANGS

Yes, it does nothing. If I continue to hit next (x times) - I get some type of CCS error whose details include: 

       too many nested evaluations (infinite loop?)

       too many nested evaluations (infinite loop?)
         while executing
       Wizard::widgets .wizard get AppsPane"
         ("eval" body line 1)
        invoked from within
      "eval [list Wizard::widgets $path $command] $args"

         "...."

It seems that the setup is stuck somewhere?

Can somebody help me?

    I cannot (corporate Windows PC). Is that a requirement to disable? How do I get around that?

    Talk to your IT Staff. He/she might be able to help you out!

    Is that a requirement to disable?

    It is recommended though. Some anti-virus seem to be fine but some interfere during the installation.

    Hi Tom,

    do you see any installation logs you could send us?  These would be in the installjammer registry directory - which may be hidden and is under program files or program files (x86).

    Hi Tom,

    Please check if there are any log files in the same folder as the installer. If there are, please attach them here.

    Make sure you unzip the offline installer zip file before clicking on the executable.

    Do you see the "App Center" pane after the emulation pane, or is it the emulation pane that gets stuck? It could be some kind of proxy issue with the file it tries to download to provide the "App Center" options. Please download the attached file, remove the .txt extension, and run the installer on a command line with the following parameter:

    ccs_setup_6.0.0.00190.exe --override-apps-url <full_path_to_downloaded_file> 

    e.g. 

    ccs_setup_6.0.0.00190.exe --override-apps-url c:\temp\apps_6.0.0.json

    Let me know how it goes.

    That worked, but I am not having license issues.

    Here is status of my license server

    Hi Tom,

    so are now properly installed?  CCS will say unlicensed until you enter debug.  Could this explain things?

    I think so, but now I have another problem. 

    After updates, it required me to re-start CCS, and goes through those dialogs again and then nothing happens!

    If I try to kill the ccs_updatexxx.exe, 

    It then complains with a error box

    When you killed off the ccs_update*exe you may have left other processes running which are keeping the install_logs folder tied up. It's unable to proceed with the updates.
