License Cost when using GNU GCC Compiler for TI-TM4C

Hello,

When I use CCS with a GNU GCC Compiler instad of the TI- ARM- based one are there the same code size Limitations for CCS in the Free License version?

Hi,

CCSv4 and newer do not have any limitation for any toolchain used to build ARM code, being either TI or GCC.

Just to sum it up, I can use any compiler but the need to buy a licence for CCS when writing more code then the free version allows.

Correct?

Your ability to use the free version depends on which emulation you are using. If you are using on-board emulation on a kit or an external XDS100, then you can use the free version. Any external emulator above XDS100 will require a full license.
